Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Automation Projects Manager with a strong background in Siemens or Rockwell automation services, preferably within the Food & Beverage or Pharma industries. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of managing automation projects from conception to completion, demonstrating expertise in system design, implementation, and optimization. As the Automation Projects Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers, overseeing project execution, and ensuring deliverables meet quality, budget, and timeline requirements. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical proficiency, and industry-specific knowledge in Food & Beverage or Pharma manufacturing processes.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage automation projects, from initial planning and design to installation, testing, and commissioning, ensuring adherence to project scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and procurement, to define project requirements, specifications, and objectives.
  • Develop detailed project plans, resource allocations, and timelines, coordinating activities and milestones to meet project deliverables and customer expectations.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on Siemens or Rockwell automation platforms, leveraging best practices and industry standards to design and implement efficient and reliable control systems.
  • Manage project budgets, expenses, and resource utilization, monitoring project progress and implementing corrective actions as needed to mitigate risks and ensure profitability.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the project team, promoting adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, stakeholders, and vendors, maintaining effective communication and addressing inquiries, issues, and change requests on time.
  • Conduct project reviews, performance evaluations, and lessons-learned sessions to identify opportunities for process optimization, innovation, and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 15+ years of experience in automation project management, with a focus on Siemens or Rockwell automation services.
  • Demonstrated expertise in PLC programming, HMI/SCADA development, and industrial networking, with proficiency in Siemens Simatic, TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000, and FactoryTalk View.
  • Industry experience in Food & Beverage or Pharma manufacturing processes, with knowledge of regulatory standards such as FDA, GMP, and cGMP preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and empower teams to achieve project goals while fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to customer satisfaction, with a focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Project management certification (PMP) and/or automation certifications (e.g., Siemens Certified Programmer, Rockwell Automation Specialist) preferred.
