The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the automation industry, including emerging trends, technologies, and market dynamics. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth through the sale of automation services and solutions. This role requires strong communication skills, relationship-building abilities, and a passion for driving innovation in the automation sector.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive sales of automation services and solutions, targeting new and existing clients.
  • Identify and qualify leads, prospects, and strategic partnerships in key industries, with a focus on expanding market presence and generating revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, engineering, and marketing, to develop tailored solutions that meet the unique needs and challenges of clients in the automation sector.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within target accounts, leveraging industry knowledge and insights to position our company as a trusted partner and advisor.
  • Lead the development and delivery of compelling sales presentations, proposals, and demonstrations that effectively communicate the value proposition of our automation services and solutions.
  • Negotiate contract terms and pricing agreements, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives while maximizing profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in automation, providing insights and recommendations to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Track and analyze sales performance metrics, pipeline activity, and market trends to identify opportunities for optimization and continuous improvement.
  • Execute sales plans to penetrate new markets, manage international sales activities, and navigate cultural and regulatory complexities.
  • Services Experience- Provide comprehensive solutions, collaborate with services teams, and identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or account management, with a focus on automation services or projects.
  • Strong understanding of automation technologies, including robotics, AI, machine learning, and IoT, and their application across various industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and drive revenue growth.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and solutions to diverse audiences.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of developing innovative approaches to address customer needs and challenges.
